If you’ve never visited
the Gold Coast then believe me you are in for treat – located
just 35 minutes south of Brisbane, the Gold Coast is one
of the most spectacular places to visit and live.
Everybody’s gone Surfing
25 miles of soft sandy golden beaches - from Coolangatta in the south to Paradise
Point in the north where you can sunbathe, swim, surf, body board, jet-ski,
parasail, boat, water-ski, snorkel, paddle, play volleyball, canoe, sail,
windsurf, take adrenalin rides on jet boats, plunge from bungee towers right
over the water, cast fishing lines from the beach or head out in luxury cruisers
for some of Australia's most accessible game fishing, take diving tours and
explore miraculous sights underneath the ocean, or you could just build sandcastles!
Most beaches are patrolled on the Gold Coast, Surf Safety is extremely important,
17 beaches are patrolled all year round and 29 during the school holidays.
The Golf Coast Maybe golf is your passion, with 40 championship
golf courses all varying in different designs no wonder the
Gold Coast is known as Australia's 'golf coast', and golf
can be enjoyed in perfect conditions all year around. Many
of the courses are part of luxury resorts and large sports
clubs which offer additional recreational facilities such
as tennis courts, swimming pools and gymnasiums. Experienced
golf tour operators can arrange visits to a selection of
the region's most challenging courses.
The Mountains The green behind the gold, as they call the beautiful
lush hinterlands offers more fun ways to enjoy the great
outdoors than you've ever imagined. Thrill seekers can take
to the air for a bird's-eye view from hot-air balloons, helicopters,
sea planes or opt for an aerobatic spin in a Tiger Moth open
cockpit plane. Bush walking, abseiling, 4WD adventure safaris,
guided bird walks, hang-gliding and guided horseback rides
are just some of the ways to explore the Gold Coast hinterland.
